I came to Ayesha, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, during a solar eclipse. The people were standing in prayer, and she too was praying.I asked, "What is happening with the people?"She gestured with her hand toward the sky and said, "Glory be to Allah."I asked, "Is this a sign?"She gestured, "Yes, indeed."She said, I stood until I felt faint, and I began pouring water over my head. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ finished, he praised Allah and glorified Him, then said, "There is nothing I had not been shown before that I have now seen from this place of mine, even Paradise and the Fire. It has been revealed to me that you will be tested in your graves with something like, or close to, the trial of the Dajjal." I do not know which of the two Asma said. "One of you will be brought and asked, 'What did you know about this man?' As for the believer, or the one with certainty," I do not know which of the two Asma said, "he will reply, 'He is Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He came to us with clear proofs and guidance, so we responded, believed, and followed.' He will be told, 'Sleep in peace, righteous one. We already knew that you were certain in your faith.' But as for the hypocrite, or the doubter," I do not know which of the two Asma said, "he will say, 'I do not know. I heard people saying something, so I said it too.'"
