I saw the Prophet ﷺ praying on the day of the Conquest, and he placed his sandals to his left.
رأيت النبي ﷺ يصلي يوم الفتح، ووضع نعليه عن يساره.
Reported by Abu Dawud (648), Nasai (777), and Ibn Majah (1431), all through Yahya bin Saeed, from Ibn Jurayj, who said, "Muhammad bin Abbad bin Jafar narrated to me, from Abdullah bin Sufyan, from Abdullah bin Saaib," and he related it.Its chain of transmission is sahih, and Ibn Khuzayma graded it sahih (1015, 1014), narrating it through Yahya bin Saeed and Uthman bin Umar, both of them from Ibn Jurayj, in the same manner.
