The Prophet ﷺ was praying when a sheep passed in front of him, so he hurried it toward the qiblah until he pressed his belly against the qiblah.
أن النبي ﷺ كان يصلي، فمرت شاة بين يديه، فساعاها إلى القبلة حتى ألزق بطنه بالقبلة.

Ibn Khuzayma (827), Ibn Hibban (2371), and Hakim (1/254) all reported it through the route of Jareer bin Hazim, from Yaala bin Hakeem and Zubayr bin Khurayt, from Ikrima, from Ibn Abbas, who mentioned the same. Hakim said, "Sahih according to the criterion of Bukhari."Bayhaqi (2/268) reported it through the route of Yahya bin Abu Bukayr, who said, Shuba narrated to us, from Amr bin Mura, from Yahya bin Jazzar, from Suhayb Basri, from Ibn Abbas, who said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was praying, and my grandfather wanted to pass in front of him, so he began to prevent him from doing so." Its chain of transmission is good, for Suhayb Basri Abu Sahba is disputed. Abu Zura said, "He is trustworthy." Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators, while Nasai deemed him daif. He has been corroborated, though only partially, in the transmission of this hadith.Al-jady, with a fatha on the jim and a sakin on the dal, means the offspring of a goat.As for what Abu Dawud (709) reported through the route of Shuba, he did not mention the intermediary between Yahya Jazzar and Ibn Abbas. Yahya Jazzar did not hear directly from Ibn Abbas, so there is a break in this chain.Likewise, what Ahmad (1965) reported through the route of Hajjaj, from Hakam, from Yahya bin Jazzar, from Ibn Abbas, "The Prophet ﷺ prayed in an open space with nothing in front of him." Haythami said in al-Majma (2/66), "Ahmad and Abu Yaala reported it, and it contains Hajjaj bin Artah, who is daif."
