Umm Habibah reported that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever prays four units of prayer before Dhuhr and four after it, Allah will forbid his flesh from the Fire."
ﷺ قالت: قال رسول الله ﷺ: من صلى أربع ركعات قبل الظهر، وأربعا بعدها حرم الله لحمه على النار.
Nasai (1812) narrated it through the route of Musa bin Ayun, from Abu Amr Uzai, from Hassan bin Atiya, who said, "When death came upon Anbasah, he began to writhe in agony. He was asked what was wrong, and he said, 'I heard Umm Habiba, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, relate...'" and he mentioned the hadith, and said, "I have not abandoned them since I heard them." Its isnad is sahih. As for his saying "yatadawwar" (writhing), the word "dawar" appears with the meaning of harm or distress. It is said "dara-hu yaduru-hu wa yudiru-hu" (he harmed him). The end of the hadith indicates that he was doing this out of joy at death, relying on the truthfulness of the promise. This is what Suyuti said.Imam Ahmad (26762) also narrated it from Rawh, who said, "Uzai narrated it to us," and in it, "When death came upon Anbasah bin Abu Sufyan, his terror intensified. He was asked, 'What is this terror?' He said, 'I heard Umm Habiba,'" meaning his sister, "'say...'" and he mentioned the hadith. Rawh is Ibn Abadah. This is among the most sahih of the isnads through which this hadith has been narrated.Qasim Abu Abdul-Rahman corroborated Hassan bin Atiya, and Tirmidhi (428) and Nasai narrated it through his route.Tirmidhi said, "It is hasan sahih gharib from this route. Qasim is Ibn Abdul-Rahman, whose kunya is Abu Abdul-Rahman. He is the freedman of Abdul-Rahman bin Khalid bin Muawiya, a trustworthy Shami, and he is the companion of Abu Umama." End of quote.Abu Dawud (1269) and Nasai also narrated it through the route of Makhul, from Anbasah bin Abu Sufyan, in similar wording. Nasai said, "Makhul did not hear anything from Anbasah."Tirmidhi (427), Nasai, and Ibn Majah (1160) also narrated it through the route of Muhammad bin Abdullah Shuaythi, from his father, from Anbasah bin Abu Sufyan, in similar wording. Tirmidhi said, "Hasan gharib."I say, rather this isnad is daif because of Abdullah Shuaythi, Abu Muhammad, who is Ibn Muhajir, for no one deemed him trustworthy except Ibn Hibban, and that is why Hafiz said of him, "Acceptable." As for his son Muhammad, he is "truthful," and there is no harm in mentioning these isnads for corroboration.
