Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Adhan through Aqeel (672), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Mosques through Amr bin Harith (557), both from the hadith of Ibn Shihab Zuhri, who said, "Anas bin Malik told me," and he then related the hadith.However, Ibn Hibban (2068) and Tahawi in his Mushkil (1992) both added, from the hadith of Musa bin Ayun, from Amr bin Harith, the wording "while one of you is fasting." Muslim narrated the aforementioned hadith through Ibn Wahb, from Amr bin Harith, but did not mention this addition. It therefore appears that the one who added it was Musa bin Ayun. Tabarani stated in Awsat that Musa bin Ayun was alone in narrating it. Al-Hafiz said in Fath al-Bari (2/160), "Musa is trustworthy, sahih."I say, Tahawi used this addition as evidence that the Prophet ﷺ intended this statement only for those who were fasting, not anyone else. And Allah, the Exalted, knows best.As for his words, "Do not hurry away from your evening meal," this means one should eat his fill completely, as is made clear in the hadith of Ibn Umar.
