Whenever the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave the closing salutation of the prayer, the women would rise as soon as he completed his salutation, while he himself would remain seated for a short while before standing.Ibn Shihab said, "I think, and Allah knows best, that his remaining seated was so that the women could leave before any of the men departing caught up with them."
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Adhan (837) from Musa bin Ismail, who said, Ibrahim bin Saad narrated to us, Zuhri narrated to us, from Hind bint Harith, that Umm Salama said, and then she narrated the hadith.Bukhari also said, Ibn Abu Maryam said, Nafi bin Yazid informed us, he said, Jafar bin Rabia informed me, that Ibn Shihab wrote to him saying, Hind bint Harith Firasiya narrated to me, from Umm Salama, the wife of the Prophet ﷺ, who was one of her companions, she said, "He would say the taslim, and the women would leave, entering their houses before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ would leave."Ibn Wahb said, from Yunus, from Ibn Shihab, "Hind Firasiya informed me." Uthman bin Umar said, Yunus informed us, from Zuhri, "Hind Firasiya narrated to me." Zubaydi said, Zuhri informed me that Hind bint Harith Quryashiya informed him, she was married to Mabad bin Miqdad, who was an ally of Banu Zahra, and she used to visit the wives of the Prophet ﷺ. Shuayb said, from Zuhri, "Hind Quryashiya narrated to me." Ibn Abu Atiq said, from Zuhri, from Hind Firasiya. Layth said, Yahya bin Saeed narrated to me, who narrated it to him from Ibn Shihab, from a woman of Quraysh who narrated to him from the Prophet ﷺ (850).Bukhari mentioned all these narrations, and his purpose was to clarify the disagreement over Hind's lineage, for some said "Firasiya," a nisba to Banu Firas, with a kasra on the fa, who are a clan of Kinana, while others said "Quryashiya," a nisba to Quraysh. The hadith of Ibn Wahb was narrated by Nasai (1333), and in it, "The women, in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when they finished the prayer with the taslim, would stand up, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and whoever among the men had prayed would remain seated for as long as Allah willed, and when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up, the men would stand up."The hadith of Uthman bin Umar, from Yunus, from Zuhri, with his chain, was narrated by Bukhari (866) from Abdullah bin Muhammad, from him, with this wording, "The women, in the time of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, when they finished the obligatory prayer with the taslim, would stand up, while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and whoever among the men had prayed would remain seated for as long as Allah willed, and when the Messenger of Allah ﷺ stood up, the men would stand up."As for his statement, "Zubaydi said," it was connected by Tabarani in Musnad Shamiyin (261) through the route of Abdullah bin Salim, from him, "Zuhri informed me," with the same wording. In it, "The women used to attend the prayer with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and when he said the taslim, the women would stand up and leave for their houses before the men would stand up."
