Bukhari narrated it in the Book of the Beginning of Creation (3276), and Muslim in the Book of Faith (134/...), both from the hadith of Layth bin Saad, who said, Aqeel bin Khalid narrated to me, who said, Ibn Shihab said, Urwa bin Zubayr informed me, who said, Abu Hurairah said (then he mentioned the hadith), and the wording given here is Bukhari's. As for Muslim, he referred back to the hadith of the nephew of Ibn Shihab, from his uncle, who said, Urwa bin Zubayr informed me, and he mentioned something similar. The second narration in Muslim comes through Sufyan, from Hisham, from his father.Muslim also narrated it from the hadith of Muhammad bin Sirin, from Abu Hurairah, in which it says, "People will keep asking you about knowledge until they say, 'This is Allah who created us, so who created Allah?'" He said, while he was holding a man's hand, "Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth. Two have already asked me and this is the third," or he said, "One has asked me, and this is the second."In the narration of Yahya bin Abu Kathir, from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said to me, "They will keep asking you, O Abu Hurairah, until they say, 'This is Allah, so who created Allah?'" He said, While I was in the masjid, some Bedouins came to me and said, "O Abu Hurairah, this is Allah, so who created Allah?" He said, So he took some pebbles in his hand and threw them at them, and said, "Get up, get up, my close friend has spoken the truth."Umar bin Abu Salama narrated it, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "They will keep asking until it is said, 'This is Allah who created us, so who created Allah ?'" He said, Abu Hurairah said, By Allah, one day while I was sitting, a man from the people of Iraq said to me, "This is Allah who created us, so who created Allah ?" Abu Hurairah said, So I put my finger in my ear and shouted, and said, "Allah and His Messenger have spoken the truth. Allah is the One, the Eternal Refuge, He neither begets nor is begotten, and there is none comparable to Him."Ahmad narrated it (9027) from Affan, who said, Abu Awana narrated to us, from Umar bin Abu Salama, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan, due to some discussion regarding Umar bin Abu Salama, except that his hadith is hasan.Utba bin Muslim, the freedman of Banu Tamim, narrated it from Abu Salama, from Abu Hurairah, and he added in it, "Then let him spit to his left, and seek refuge with Allah from Shaytan."Ibn Abu Asim narrated it in Sunnah (653), from Muhammad bin Mansur Tusi, who said, Yaqub bin Ibrahim narrated to us, who said, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said, Utba bin Muslim narrated to me, and he mentioned it, except that he did not mention in it the story of the man from the people of Iraq.Utba bin Muslim is the Madani, of Taymi, their freedman, trustworthy, one of the narrators found in Sahihayn.
