When the Prophet ﷺ prostrated, the whiteness of his armpits could be seen. When he gave the salam, he would turn his face to the right until the whiteness of his cheek could be seen, and likewise to his left.
كان النبي ﷺ إذا سجد يرى بياض إبطيه، ثم إذا سلم أقبل بوجهه عن يمينه حتى يرى بياض خده، وعن يساره.
Tabarani narrated it in Al-Awsat (8517) from Muaz, who said, Yahya bin Main told us, who said, Mutamir bin Sulayman told us, who said, I read to Fudayl bin Maysara, Abu Muaz, who said, Abu Hurayz told us, that Qays bin Abu Hazim told him, on the authority of Adi bin Umayrah, and he mentioned the same. Tabarani said, "This hadith is not narrated from Adi bin Umayrah except through this chain. Mutamir alone transmitted it." End of quote.Haythami said in his Majma (2754), "Tabarani narrated it in full in Al-Awsat, and in Al-Kabir with an abbreviated greeting, and the men of Al-Awsat are trustworthy." End of quote.I say, it contains Fudayl bin Maysara, Abu Muaz Al-Basri, whom Ibn Main deemed trustworthy. Imam Ahmad said, "There is no harm in him," and he holds the rank of "saduq" according to Hafiz. Abu Hurayz is Abdullah bin Husayn Al-Azdi, about whom there is disagreement. Abu Zura deemed him trustworthy, as did Ibn Main in one report. Daraqutni said, "He may be relied upon as corroboration." Ibn Main weakened him in another report, as did Nasai, and Hafiz placed him in the rank of "saduq who makes mistakes."I say, the hadith of someone like him is graded hasan when supported by corroborating evidence.
