The Prophet ﷺ used to recite Surah al-Anfal during the two rakahs of the Maghrib prayer.

Tabarani related it in Mujam al-Kabir (5/136), saying, Abdul-Rahman bin Salm Razi told us, Sahl bin Uthman told us, Uqba bin Khalid told us, from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Zayd bin Thabit, and he mentioned the hadith. Haythami cited it in Majma al-Zawaid (2/118) (2702), except that he placed the hadith within the musnad of Abu Ayub. He said, "Its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih," so I do not know whether the mistake came from Haythami or from the manuscript of Tabarani. In the chain is Uqba bin Khalid bin Uqba Sakuni, whose hadith is hasan.
