We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on one of his journeys when he slept past the dawn prayer until the sun had risen. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ awoke, he said, "Move away from this place."Then he instructed Bilal to give the call to prayer. They performed ablution and prayed the two units of the dawn sunnah prayer. Then he instructed Bilal to call the iqamah, and he led them in the dawn prayer.

كنا مع رسول الله ﷺ في بعض أسفاره، فنام عن الصبح حتى طلعت الشمس، فاستيقظ رسول الله ﷺ فقال: تنحوا عن هذا المكان قال: ثم أمر بلالا فأذن، ثم توضؤا وصلوا ركعتي الفجر، ثم أمر بلالا فأقام الصلاة، فصلى بهم صلاة الصبح.
Abu Dawud narrated it (444). He said, Abbas Anbari told us, and also Ahmad bin Salih told us, and this wording is that of Abbas, that Abdullah bin Yazid told them, from Haywa bin Shurayh, from Ayyash bin Abbas, meaning Qatbani, that Kulayb bin Subh told them, that Zubarqan told him, from his uncle Amr bin Umaya Damri. He then related the hadith.Its chain is hasan because of Kulayb bin Subh Asbahi Misri, for he is "truthful" as stated in Taqrib, and Munziri also graded it hasan in his abridgment.Zubarqan is the son of Abdullah, Damri, who narrated from his father's uncle Amr bin Umaya Damri, and from his uncle Jafar bin Amr bin Umaya. Ahmad bin Salih said, the correct view regarding him is that he is Zubarqan bin Abdullah bin Amr bin Umaya, narrating from his uncle Jafar bin Amr, from Amr bin Umaya.Then Ibn Hajar gave Zubarqan bin Amr bin Umaya Damri a separate biographical entry, and said, Bukhari and those after him did not distinguish between the two, except for Ibn Hibban, who mentioned this one in a separate entry, distinct from the one from whom Kulayb bin Subh narrates. He then criticized this, saying, there is no basis for his distinguishing them, since he did not state explicitly that they were two different people.I say, in any case Amr bin Umaya cannot be the uncle of Zubarqan, so the word "from" must be added, so that it becomes, Zubarqan told him, from his uncle, from Amr bin Umaya Damri, for the chain to be sound.
