Imran bin Husayn reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was on a journey, and they slept past the dawn prayer. They woke to the heat of the sun, so they moved on a little until the sun had fully risen. Then he ordered a muadhin to call the adhan, and he prayed two rakahs before the dawn prayer. Then the iqamah was called, and he prayed the dawn prayer.
