Nasai (508) narrated it from Ishaq bin Ibrahim, who said, Jareer told us, from Mansur, from Rabi bin Harash, from Abu Abyad, from Anas, and he mentioned the hadith. Haythami cited it among the additional narrations of Abu Yaala in Maqsad Ali (190) and among the additional narrations of Bazzar in Kashf Astar (373), both through the route of Mansur, with the same wording in Bazzar. The wording of Abu Yaala is, We would pray Asr with the Prophet ﷺ, then I would come to my kinsfolk and find them sitting, so I would say to them, "Get up and pray, for the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has prayed."Haythami said, "Nasai abridged it." And he said in Majma al-Zawaid (1/308), "Its narrators are trustworthy."I say, it is as he said, and its chain is sahih. Abu Abyad is Ansi, the Syrian, though he is also said to be from Madinah. Ibn Abu Hatim said, Abu Zura was asked about the name of Abu Abyad, and he said, "His name is not known." Ajli and others deemed him trustworthy.
