The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Shall I tell you about the prayer of the hypocrite? He delays the afternoon prayer until, when the sun is like the horns of an ox, he prays it."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: ألا أخبركم بصلاة المنافق؟ أن يؤخر العصر حتى إذا كانت كثرب البقرة صلاها.

Daraqutni narrated it in his Sunan (993), and this is his wording, and Hakim (1/195), both of them through the route of Abdul-Salam bin Abdul-Hameed, who said, Musa bin Ayun narrated to us, from Uzai, from Abu Najashi (whose name was Ataa bin Suhayb), who said, I heard Rafi bin Khadij say, then he mentioned it.Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Abdul-Salam bin Abdul-Hameed. Ibn Hibban mentioned him in al-Thiqat, and Ibn Adi said, "I know of no harm in his hadith, and I have not seen anything objectionable in his hadith, so I mention him." Someone like him has his hadith graded hasan when it has an established basis, and this is one of them.His saying, "kathrab of the cow," refers to the thin fat that covers the stomach and intestines, to which the sun is compared when its light grows faint.
