Jibreel came and led the Prophet ﷺ in prayer, and the Prophet ﷺ led the people in prayer when the sun had passed its zenith. Then he prayed Asr when a thing's shadow was equal to itself. Then he prayed Maghrib when the sun set. Then he prayed Isha after that, as if he intended the disappearance of the twilight. Then he prayed Fajr in the dimness of dawn, when dawn first broke. Then Jibreel
came the next day and led the Prophet ﷺ in the Zuhr prayer, and the Prophet ﷺ led the people in Zuhr when a thing's shadow was equal to itself. Then he prayed Asr when a thing's shadow was twice its length. Then he prayed Maghrib when the sun set, at the same time as the day before. Then he prayed Isha after a portion of the night had passed. Then he prayed Fajr when it was already quite light.
Ishaq bin Rahawayh narrated it in his Musnad, from Abdul-Razzaq, who said, Maamar narrated to us, from Abdullah bin Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin Amr bin Hazm, from his father, from his grandfather, Amr bin Hazm, and he mentioned the hadith.Hafiz mentioned it in Matalib Aliyah (1/140), and Busiri in Ithaf Khayra (1/40-41), number (1133), both from the Musnad of Ishaq with his chain of transmission. Busiri said, "This is a hasan chain of transmission." Hafiz said, "This is a hasan chain, except that Muhammad bin Amr bin Hazm did not hear from the Prophet ﷺ due to his young age. If the pronoun in 'his grandfather' refers to Abu Bakr, then it depends on whether Abu Bakr heard from Amr." End of quote.I said, both of them narrated from Abdul-Razzaq, from Maamar, from Abdullah bin Abu Bakr bin Muhammad bin Amr bin Hazm, from his father, from his grandfather, and this is where the problem arose. What is found in the Musannaf of Abdul-Razzaq (1/534), number (2032), is, from Maamar, from Abdullah bin Abu Bakr, from Muhammad bin Amr bin Hazm, from his father, and he mentioned the hadith, so there is no problem in it. So was it in their copy as they mentioned it? Allah the Exalted knows best. The narrators of the chain are all trustworthy, and Muhammad and his father Amr bin Hazm were both Companions, except that Muhammad did not narrate from the Prophet ﷺ, because he only had a sighting of him.
