Abdullah bin Abbas reported,

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Jibreel عليه السلام led me in prayer at the House twice. He prayed Dhuhr with me when the sun had just passed its zenith and the shadow was the length of a sandal strap. He prayed Asr with me when an object's shadow equaled its own length. He prayed Maghrib with me when the fasting person breaks his fast. He prayed Isha with me when the twilight disappeared. And he prayed Fajr with me when food and drink become forbidden to the fasting person. The next day, he prayed Dhuhr with me when an object's shadow equaled its own length. He prayed Asr with me when an object's shadow was twice its own length. He prayed Maghrib with me when the fasting person breaks his fast. He prayed Isha with me at one-third of the night. And he prayed Fajr with me when the light had spread. Then he turned to me and said, 'Muhammad, this is the time of the prophets before you, and the proper time for prayer is between these two times.'"
