The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "There are five things which, if a person brings them along with faith, he will enter Paradise. Whoever maintains the five daily prayers, performing their ablution, their bowing, their prostration, and observing their proper times, fasts in Ramadan, performs the pilgrimage to the House if he is able to find a way to it, gives the zakat willingly with a content heart, and fulfills the trust."They asked, "Abu Darda, what is fulfilling the trust?"He replied, "Bathing after major ritual impurity."
Abu Dawud narrated it (429) from Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman Anbari, who said, "Abu Ali Hanafi Ubaydullah bin Abdul-Majid narrated to us, saying, Imran Qattan narrated to us, saying, Qatada and Aban narrated to us, both of them from Khulayd Qasri, from Umm Darda, from Abu Darda," and he related the same account. This is the narration of Ibn Arabi as it appears in the margin of the Indian edition, "Abu Saeed Ibn Arabi said, Muhammad bin Abdul-Malik bin Yazid Rawwas, known by the kunya Abu Umama, narrated to us, saying, Abu Darda narrated to us..."It is not confirmed in the narration of Luluyi. Its isnad is hasan, due to the discussion surrounding Imran, who is Ibn Dawar, with a fatha on the waw followed by the ra, Qattan, Abu Awwam Basri. There is disagreement about him, but his hadith is hasan. As for Aban, he is Ibn Abu Ayyash, and he is discarded, but he is paired here with Qatada, so his presence in the isnad causes no harm.Haythami mentioned it in Majma al-Zawaid (1/47) and attributed it to Tabarani in al-Kabir, saying, "Its isnad is good," except that he made the tafsir of the trust a statement attributed to the Prophet, and added at the end of the hadith, "Allah did not entrust the son of Adam with anything of his religion besides it."That is based on the narration of Ibn Luluyi, in which this hadith is not confirmed.
