The Prophet ﷺ said, "I was shown the Fire, and I saw that the majority of its inhabitants were women who were ungrateful."Someone asked, "Are they ungrateful to Allah?"He replied, "They are ungrateful to their husbands and ungrateful for kindness shown to them. If you were to treat one of them well your entire life, then she saw something from you she disliked, she would say, 'I have never seen any good from you.'"
Malik narrated it in the Book of Eclipse (2) from Zayd bin Aslam, from Ata bin Yasar, from Abdullah bin Abbas, mentioning it at length. Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Eclipse (1052), and Muslim in the Book of Eclipse (907), both by way of Malik with his chain of transmission, at length. Bukhari also narrated it in the Book of Faith (29) from the hadith of Malik with his chain of transmission, in a shortened form with the wording mentioned.
