A robe of fine silk brocade was given as a gift to the Prophet ﷺ, though he used to forbid the wearing of silk. The people marveled at it, so he said, "By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the handkerchiefs of Saad bin Muaz in Paradise are finer than this."
أهدي للنبي ﷺ جبة سندس، وكان ينهى عن الحرير، فعجب الناس منها، فقال: والذي نفس محمد بيده، لمناديل سعد بن معاذ في الجنة أحسن من هذا.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Gifts (2615), and Muslim narrated it in the Merits of the Companions (2469), both of them through the route of Yunus bin Muhammad, who said, Shayban narrated to us, from Qatada, from Anas, who said, then he mentioned it.
