The Prophet ﷺ said, "I saw myself entering Paradise, and there I came upon Rumaysa, the wife of Abu Talha. Then I heard footsteps and asked, 'Who is this?' Someone said, 'This is Bilal.' And I saw a palace with a young woman in its courtyard, so I asked, 'Whose palace is this?' He replied, 'It belongs to Umar.' I wanted to enter and look at it, but I remembered your jealousy."Umar said, "May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, Messenger of Allah! Would I ever feel jealousy toward you?"
قال النبي ﷺ: رأيتني دخلت الجنة، فإذا أنا بالرميصاء- امرأة أبي طلحة-، وسمعت خشفة، فقلت: من هذا؟ فقال: هذا بلال، ورأيت قصرا بفنائه جارية، فقلت: لمن هذا؟ فقال: لعمر، فأردت أن أدخله فأنظر إليه، فذكرت غيرتك. فقال عمر: بأبي وأمي يا رسول الله! أعليك أغار؟
Bukhari related it in the Virtues of the Companions (3679), and Muslim in the Virtues of the Companions (633), both from the hadith of Muhammad bin Munkadir, from Jabir bin Abdullah, who said, and then he mentioned it. This is the wording of Bukhari, and the wording of Muslim is similar, and in it, "I entered Paradise and saw in it a house or a palace..." and at the end, "So Umar wept and said, 'Is it you, Messenger of Allah, who would be jealous of?'" In another wording of Bukhari, "I entered Paradise, or I came to Paradise, and I saw a palace, so I said, 'Whose is this?' They said, 'It belongs to Umar bin Khattab.' I wanted to enter it, but nothing kept me from doing so except my knowledge of your jealousy."Bukhari related it in the Book of Marriage (5226) from Muhammad bin Abu Bakr Muqaddami, who said, Mutamir narrated to us, from Ubaydullah, from Muhammad bin Munkadir, from Jabir, and then he mentioned it. In another wording of Bukhari, "I entered Paradise, and there I was with a palace of gold, so I said, 'Whose is this?' They said, 'It belongs to a man from Quraysh.' Nothing kept me from entering it..." Bukhari related it in the Book of Interpretation of Dreams (7024) from Amr bin Ali, who said, Mutamir bin Sulayman narrated to us, Ubaydullah bin Umar narrated to us, from Muhammad bin Munkadir, with the same chain, and then he mentioned it.
