The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "I entered Paradise and saw a palace of gold. I asked, 'Whose palace is this?'They said, 'It belongs to a young man from Quraysh.'I thought it was mine, so I asked, 'Whose is it?'They said, 'It belongs to Umar bin Khattab.' Were it not for your jealousy that I know of, I would have entered it."Umar said, "Would I ever be jealous of you, Messenger of Allah?"
Tirmidhi (3688), Nasai in Fadail al-Sahabah (26), and Ahmad (12046) — this last being the wording used here — narrated it, and Ibn Hibban (6887) graded it sahih. All of them transmitted it through various routes from Humayd, from Anas, who related it. Its isnad is sahih. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith."
