We said, "Messenger of Allah, tell us about Paradise. What is it built of?"He replied, "A brick of gold and a brick of silver. Its mortar is fragrant musk, its pebbles are pearls and rubies, and its soil is saffron. Whoever enters it lives in bliss without misery, abides forever without dying, his garments never wear out, and his youth never fades."
قلنا: يا رسول الله، حدثنا عن الجنة، ما بناؤها؟ قال: لبنة ذهب ولبنة فضة، وملاطها المسك الأذفر، وحصباؤها اللؤلؤ والياقوت، وترابها الزعفران، من يدخلها ينعم ولا يبأس، ويخلد ولا يموت، لا تبلى ثيابه ولا يفنى شبابه.
Reported by Ahmad (8043) and Abd bin Humayd (1420), and Ibn Hibban (7387) graded it sahih, all of them via Zuhayr bin Muawiya, who said, "Abu Mujahid Saad Tai narrated to us, who said, 'Abu Mudallah, the freedman of the Mother of the Believers, narrated to us, that he heard Abu Hurairah say,'" then he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan because of Abu Mudallah, for his hadith is hasan, since Ibn Majah deemed him reliable, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among the trustworthy narrators.
