He said, "A man will come on the Day of Resurrection having performed deeds through which he hopes to attain salvation. Then one person after another will keep coming to him complaining of a wrong done to them, and good deeds will be taken from him and given to them, until not a single good deed remains for him. Then another claimant will come complaining of a wrong, and some of that claimant's bad deeds will be taken and added to his bad deeds. Then he will be hurled into the Fire," or he said, "cast into the Fire."
إن الرجل يجئ يوم القيامة قد عمل عملا يرجو أن ينجو به، قال: فما يزال الرجل يأتيه فيشتكي مظلمة فيؤخذ من حسناته فيعطاها حتى ما تبقى له حسنة، ويجئ المشتكي يشتكي مظلمة فيؤخذ من سيئاته فتوضع على سيئاته، ثم يكب في النار أو يلقى في النار.

Ibn Abu Shayba narrated it in Musannaf (35814) from Abu Usama, who said, Uthman bin Ghiyath narrated to us, from Abu Uthman Nahdi, from Salman and others among the companions of Muhammad ﷺ, who said, and then narrated the hadith. Its narrators are trustworthy, except that it is mawquf, though it carries the status of a marfu report, especially since it has also come as marfu.Hakim narrated it (4/570) through the route of Abdullah bin Ahmad bin Hanbal, who said, Abu Dawud (that is, Tayalisi) narrated to us, Shuba narrated to us, from Khalid Haddan, who said, I heard Abu Uthman Nahdi narrate that the Prophet ﷺ said, and then he mentioned the hadith. He said, So I asked him, or he said to him, "From whom, Abu Uthman?" He said, "From Salman, Saad, and Ibn Masud," until he counted six or seven of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.Shuba said, So I asked Asim about this hadith, and he narrated it to me from Abu Uthman, from Salman. And Uthman bin Ghiyath informed me that he heard Abu Uthman narrating this from Salman and the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he mentioned the hadith.Hakim said, It is sahih according to the criterion of the two sheikhs (Bukhari and Muslim), though they did not include it. And it is as he said.The hadith has another chain of transmission as well, which is what Bazzar narrated (2524) from Abdullah bin Ishaq Attar (that is, Abu Jafar Wasiti), who said, Khalid bin Hamza Attar informed us, Uthman bin Ghiyath informed us, Abu Uthman Nahdi informed us, from Salman, with it, as marfu.I could not find a biography for Khalid bin Hamza Attar. These chains of transmission strengthen the mawquf report.
