I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Night and day will not pass away until al-Lat and al-Uzza are worshipped again."I said, "Messenger of Allah, when Allah revealed 'He is the one who sent His Messenger with guidance and the religion of truth to make it prevail over all religion, even though the polytheists detest it' [Tawba 9:33] and [Saff 61:9], I thought that this would be complete."He said, "Indeed, of that there will be what Allah wills. Then Allah will send a pleasant wind which will take the soul of everyone who has even a mustard seed's weight of faith in his heart. There will remain only those in whom there is no good, and they will return to the religion of their forefathers."
Muslim narrated it in "Tribulations and the Signs of the Hour" (2907) through several routes, from Khalid bin Harith, who said, Abdul-Hameed bin Jafar told us, from Aswad bin Ala, from Abu Salama, from Ayesha, who said... and she mentioned it.
