The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Dajjal will appear in my nation and will remain for forty. I do not know whether it is forty days, forty months, or forty years. Then Allah will send Isa bin Maryam, who resembles Urwa bin Masud. He will pursue him and destroy him. Then the people will live for seven years during which there is no enmity between any two people. After that, Allah will send a cold wind from the direction of Sham, and no one will remain on the face of the earth with even a mustard seed's weight of goodness or faith in his heart without it taking his soul. Even if one of you were to enter into the heart of a mountain, it would enter upon him there and take his soul."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: يخرج الدجال في أمتي فيمكث أربعين- لا أدري أربعين يوم أو أربعين شهرا أو أربعين عاما- فيبعث الله عيسى بن مريم، كأنه عروة بن مسعود، فيطلبه، فيهلكه، ثم يمكث الناس سبع سنين، ليس بين اثنين عداوة، ثم يرسل الله ريحا باردة من قبل الشام، فلا يبقى على وجه الأرض أحد في قلبه مثقال ذرة من خير أو إيمان إلا قبضته، حتى لو أن أحدكم دخل في كبد جبل لدخلته عليه حتى تقبضه.
Muslim narrated it in the book of Fitan (2940) from Ubaydullah bin Muaz Anbari, who said, my father narrated to us, Shuba narrated to us, from Numan bin Salim, who said, I heard Yaqub bin Asim bin Urwa bin Masud Thaqafi, from Abdullah bin Amr, and he mentioned it in a long hadith.
