Jabir reported, "We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on a military expedition, when a group of people wearing woolen garments came to the Prophet ﷺ from the direction of the west. They met him at a small hill. They were standing while the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was seated."Jabir continued, "I said to myself, 'Go and stand between them and him so they cannot assassinate him.' Then I thought, 'Perhaps he is in private conversation with them.' Still, I went and stood between them and him."He said, "I memorized four statements from him, counting them on my fingers. He said, 'You will invade the Arabian Peninsula, and Allah will grant its conquest. Then Persia, and Allah will grant its conquest. Then you will invade Rome, and Allah will grant its conquest. Then you will invade the Dajjal, and Allah will grant his conquest.'"Nafi said, "Jabir, we do not think the Dajjal will appear until Rome is conquered."
Muslim reported it in his chapter on tribulations (2900), from Qutayba bin Saeed, who said, Jareer narrated to us from Abdul-Malik bin Umayr, from Jabir bin Samura, from Nafi bin Utba, who said, and he mentioned it.
