I went out with Talid bin Kilab al-Laythi until we came to Abdullah bin Amr bin As, who was making tawaf around the House with his sandals hanging from his hand. We asked him, "Were you present with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when the man from Tamim spoke to him on the day of Hunayn?"He replied, "Yes. A man from Banu Tamim called Dhul Khuwaysirah came forward and stood before the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was distributing goods to the people. He said, 'Muhammad, I have seen what you have done today.'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'Indeed. And how did you find it?'He said, 'I did not see you act justly.'The Messenger of Allah ﷺ became angry and then said, 'Woe to you! If justice is not found with me, then with whom would it be found?'Umar bin Khattab said, 'Messenger of Allah, shall we not kill him?'He answered, 'No, leave him. There will arise from his followers a faction who will go to such extremes in religion that they will pass right out of it, just as an arrow passes clean through its target. One looks at the arrowhead and finds nothing, then at the shaft and finds nothing, then at the notch and finds nothing. The arrow has shot through too quickly even for the dung and blood to mark it.'"
Ahmad narrated it (7038) from Yaqub (he is the son of Ibrahim bin Saad Zuhri), he said, my father narrated to us, from Ibn Ishaq, who said, Abu Ubayda bin Muhammad bin Ammar bin Yasir narrated to me, from Miqsam Abu Qasim, and he related it.Its isnad is hasan because of Muhammad bin Ishaq, for his hadith is hasan when he explicitly states that he narrated it, and likewise Abu Ubayda bin Muhammad and Miqsam, their hadith is hasan. Haythami said in Majma (6/227-228), "The men of Ahmad's narration are trustworthy."Regarding his statement, "It outran the dung and the blood," Hafiz said in Fath al-Bari (6/618), "He likened their bursting out of the religion to an arrow that strikes game, entering it and exiting from it, and because of the intensity of its speed in exiting, due to the strength of the shooter, nothing of the body of the game clings to it."
