Uthman Shaham reported,

I set out with Farqad al-Sabakhi to visit Muslim bin Abu Bakra, who was on his land. We came in to him and asked, "Did you hear your father narrate any hadith about the tribulations?"He replied, "Yes, I heard Abu Bakra narrate that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, 'There will be tribulations. Then there will be a tribulation in which the one sitting is better than the one walking, and the one walking is better than the one hastening toward it. When it descends or occurs, whoever has camels should go to his camels, whoever has sheep should go to his sheep, and whoever has land should go to his land.'"A man asked, "Messenger of Allah, what about someone who has no camels, no sheep, and no land?"He answered, "He should take his sword, strike its blade with a stone to blunt it, then escape if he can. O Allah, have I conveyed the message? O Allah, have I conveyed the message? O Allah, have I conveyed the message?"Another man asked, "Messenger of Allah, what if I am forced and taken to one of the two ranks or one of the two factions, and a man strikes me with his sword, or an arrow comes and kills me?"He replied, "He will bear his own sin and yours, and he will be among the people of the Fire."

عن عثمان الشحام قال

انطلقت أنا وفرقد السبخي إلى مسلم بن أبي بكرة وهو في أرضه، فدخلنا عليه، فقلنا: هل سمعت أباك يحدث في الفتن حديثا؟ قال: نعم، سمعت أبا بكرة يحدث قال: قال رسول الله ﷺ: إنها ستكون فتن، ألا ثم تكون فتنة، القاعد فيها خير من الماشي فيها، والماشي فيها خير من الساعي إليها، ألا فإذا نزلت أو وقعت فمن كان له إبل فليلحق بإبله، ومن كانت له غنم فليلحق بغنمه، ومن كانت له أرض فليلحق بأرضه قال: فقال رجل: يا رسول الله، أرأيت من لم يكن له إبل ولا غنم ولا أرض؟ قال: يعمد إلى سيفه، فيدق على حده بحجر، ثم لينج إن استطاع النجاء، اللهم هل بلغت؟ اللهم هل بلغت اللهم هل بلغت؟ قال: فقال رجل: يا رسول الله أرأيت إن أكرهت حتى ينطلق بي إلى أحد الصفين أو إحدى الفئتين، فضربني رجل بسيفه، أو يجئ سهم فيقتلني؟ قال: يبوء بإثمه وإثمك، ويكون من أصحاب النار.
