The Messenger of Allah ﷺ saw a gold ring on a man's hand, so he pulled it off, threw it down, and said, "One of you deliberately takes a burning ember from the Fire and places it on his hand."After the Messenger of Allah ﷺ left, it was said to the man, "Take your ring and make use of it."He replied, "No, by Allah, I will never take it back after the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has thrown it away."
أن رسول الله ﷺ رأى خاتما من ذهب في يد رجل فنزعه، فطرحه، وقال: يعمد أحدكم إلى جمرة من نار فيجعلها في يده. فقيل للرجل بعد ما ذهب رسول الله ﷺ: خذ خاتمك وانتفع به، قال: لا، والله لا آخذه أبدا، وقد طرحه رسول الله ﷺ.
