A garment of silk was brought to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the people began marveling at its beauty and softness. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "The handkerchiefs of Saad bin Muaz in Paradise are better than this."
أتي رسول الله ﷺ بثوب من حرير، فجعلوا يعجبون من حسنه ولينه، فقال رسول الله ﷺ: لمناديل سعد بن معاذ في الجنة أفضل من هذا.
Bukhari related it in the Merits of the Ansar (3802), and Muslim in the Merits of the Companions (2468), both from the hadith of Muhammad bin Jafar Ghundar, who said, Shubah told us, from Abu Ishaq, who said, I heard Bara say, and then he mentioned it. The wording given is that of Bukhari. The wording of Muslim is, A silk cloak was presented to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and his companions began touching it and marveling at how soft it was.
