Umar bin Khattab delivered a sermon at Jabiyah and said, "The Prophet of Allah ﷺ forbade the wearing of silk except for a span of two, three, or four fingers."
أن عمر بن الخطاب خطب بالجابية، فقال: نهى نبي الله ﷺ عن لبس الحرير إلا موضع إصبعين، أو ثلاث، أو أربع.
