Ukaydir of Dumah sent the Prophet ﷺ a silk garment as a gift, and he gave it to Ali, saying, "Tear it into headscarves and divide them among the Fatimahs." In another narration, "among the women."
أن أكيدر دومة أهدى إلى النبي ﷺ ثوب حرير فأعطاه عليا فقال: شققه خمرا بين الفواطم وفي رواية بين النساء.
Muslim reported it in the Book of Clothing (18:2071) through various routes from Waki, from Masaar, from Abu Awn Thaqafi, from Abu Salih Hanafi, from Ali, as mentioned above. His saying, "the Fatimahs," refers to1. Fatimah, daughter of the Prophet ﷺ. 2. Fatimah, daughter of Asad bin Hashim, mother of Ali bin Abu Talib. 3. Fatimah, daughter of Hamza bin Abdul-Muttalib. 4. Fatimah, wife of Aqeel bin Abu Talib.
