The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Whoever among my nation wears gold and dies while wearing it shall not wear the gold of Paradise."Hawdhah's version says, "Allah will forbid him the gold of Paradise. And whoever among my nation wears silk and dies while wearing it, Allah will forbid him the silk of Paradise."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: من لبس الذهب من أمتي فمات وهو يلبسه لم يلبس من ذهب الجنة وقال هوذة: حرم الله عليه ذهب الجنة، ومن لبس الحرير من أمتي فمات وهو يلبسه حرم الله عليه حرير الجنة.
Ahmad (6947) narrated it from Ishaq bin Yusuf Azraq and Hawdha bin Khalifa, who said, Awf narrated to us, from Maymun bin Ustaz, who said, Abdullah bin Amr said... and then he related it. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Maymun bin Ustaz, for his hadith is hasan. Ibn Main deemed him trustworthy, and Ibn Hibban listed him among the trustworthy narrators.Similar in meaning is what was reported from Abdullah bin Amr, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out to us with a silk garment in one hand and gold in the other, and said, "These two are forbidden to the males of my nation, but permitted to their females."Ibn Majah (3597) narrated it from Abu Bakr, who said, Abdul-Rahim bin Sulayman narrated to us, from Afriqi, from Abdul-Rahman bin Rafi, from Abdullah bin Amr, and then he related it. Its chain of transmission is daif because of Afriqi, who is Abdul-Rahman bin Ziyad bin Anam (with the first letter open, the nun silent, and the undotted letter with damma). Ahmad, Ibn Main, Nasai, and others judged him daif. The same applies to his teacher, Abdul-Rahman bin Rafi Tanukhi, the Egyptian, the judge of Ifriqiya.
