Reported by Abu Dawud (4131), Ahmad (17189), and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (20/269), all of them through various routes from Baqiya bin Walid, who said, our teacher Buhayr bin Saad told us, from Khalid bin Madan who said, then he mentioned it, in a lengthy context, and it is mentioned in its proper place. Its chain of transmission is hasan because of Baqiya bin Walid, for his narration is hasan when he explicitly states that he heard it directly. Dhahabi mentioned it in Al-Siyar (3/258) and said, "Its chain of transmission is strong."
