The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Five things are part of the natural disposition: circumcision, shaving the pubic hair, trimming the moustache, clipping the nails, and plucking the underarm hair."
عن رسول الله ﷺ أنه قال: الفطرة خمس الاختتان، والاستحداد، وقص الشارب، وتقليم الأظفار، ونتف الإبط.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Clothing (5891), and Muslim narrated it in the Book of Purification (257), both through the route of Zuhri, from Saeed bin Musayab, from Abu Hurairah, who mentioned it.His saying, "of the fitrah," with a kasrah on the fa, means that Allah the Exalted made it part of the fitrah of the human being. This is the way of the prophets and messengers, and the way of every human being, past and present, except those who deviated from the fitrah, such as the People of the Book and the Magians.
