Abu Shaykh reported,

I was among a group of the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in the presence of Muawiya when Muawiya said, "I ask you by Allah, do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the wearing of silk?"They replied, "By Allah, yes."He said, "And I bear witness to that as well."He said, "I ask you by Allah Almighty, do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade the wearing of gold except in small pieces?"They replied, "By Allah, yes."He said, "And I bear witness to that as well."He said, "I ask you by Allah Almighty, do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade riding on leopard skins?"They replied, "By Allah, yes."He said, "And I bear witness to that as well."He said, "I ask you by Allah Almighty, do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade drinking from silver vessels?"They replied, "By Allah, yes."He said, "And I bear witness to that as well."He said, "I ask you by Allah Almighty, do you know that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade combining Hajj and Amra?"They replied, "As for that, no."He said, "Indeed, it is among them."

عن أبي شيخ الهنائي قال

كنت في ملأ من أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ عند معاوية، فقال معاوية: أنشدكم الله أتعلمون أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن لبس الحرير؟ قالوا: اللهم نعم. قال: وأنا أشهد. قال: أنشدكم الله تعالى أتعلمون أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن لبس الذهب إلا مقطعا؟ قالوا: اللهم نعم. قال: وأنا أشهد. قال: أنشدكم الله تعالى أتعلمون أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن ركوب النمور؟ قالوا: اللهم نعم. قال: وأنا أشهد قال: أنشدكم الله تعالى أتعلمون أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن الشرب في آنية الفضة؟ قالوا: اللهم نعم. قال: وأنا أشهد. قال: أنشدكم الله تعالى أتعلمون أن رسول الله ﷺ نهى عن جمع بين حج وعمرة؟ قالوا: أما هذا فلا، قال: أما إنها معهن.
