The bed on which the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to sleep was made of leather stuffed with palm fibers.
إنما كان فراش رسول الله ﷺ الذي ينام عليه أدما حشوه ليف.
Muslim narrated it in the Book of Clothing (2082:38), from Ali bin Hajar Saadi, who said, "Ali bin Mushir informed us, from Hisham bin Urwa, from his father, from Ayesha," and he related it. And from another route, from Hisham, with this same chain, "the sleeping mat of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ that he used to sleep on."His saying, "dijaa" (with a kasrah on the dal) is derived from "reclining" (al-idtijaa), which means sleeping, similar to how "jilsa" is derived from "sitting" (al-julus). What is meant is that which he used to recline and sleep upon.
