A bedding used to be spread out for me directly in front of the prayer place of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and he would pray while I lay before him.
كان يفرش لي حيال مصلى رسول الله ﷺ فكان يصلي وأنا حياله.
Narrated by Abu Dawud (4148), Ibn Majah (957), and Ahmad (26733), all from the hadith of Khalid Haddan, from Abu Qilaba, from Zaynab bint Abu Salama, from Umm Salama, who informed her. The wording is Ahmad's, and Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah did not mention, "and he would pray while I was facing him."
