The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was covered, when he died, with a striped Yemeni garment. In another wording, with a striped Yemeni cloak.
سجي رسول الله ﷺ حين مات بثوب حبرة. وفي لفظ: ببرد حبرة.
Bukhari narrated it in the Book of Clothing (5814), and Muslim in the Book of Funerals (942), both from the hadith of Ibn Shihab Zuhri, that Abu Salama bin Abdul-Rahman informed him that Ayesha, Mother of the Believers, said, and he mentioned it. The wording is Muslim's, and the other is Bukhari's.
