The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Wear white clothing. Let your living wear it, and shroud your dead in it, for it is among the best of your garments."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: عليكم بهذا البياض، فليلبسه أحياؤكم، وكفنوا فيه موتاكم، فإنه من خير ثيابكم.
Ahmad (20235) narrated it from Abdul-Razzaq, and it is in his Musannaf (6198), Mamar informed us, from Ayub. Another chain, Rawh, Saeed bin Abu Aruba narrated to us, from Ayub, from Abu Qilaba, from Abu Muhallab, from Jundab, and he related it.Nasai (5322) narrated it through the route of Yahya bin Saeed, who said, I heard Saeed bin Abu Aruba narrating from Ayub, and he related something similar. Both chains are sahih.Ibn Majah (2567) narrated it through another route, from Maymun bin Abu Shabib, from Samura bin Jundab, who said, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "Wear white clothes, for they are purer and better." Its chain has a break, for Maymun bin Abu Shabib did not hear directly from Samura bin Jundab.
