The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "If the son of Adam had two valleys of wealth, he would long for a third. Nothing fills his soul but the dust of the grave, yet Allah turns in mercy to whoever turns to Him in repentance."
أن رسول الله ﷺ قال: لو أن لابن آدم واديين من مال لأحب أن يكون معهما ثالث، ولا يملأ نفسه إلا التراب، ويتوب الله على من تاب.
Ibn Majah (4235) narrated it from Abu Marwan Uthmani (that is, Muhammad bin Uthman), who said, Abdul-Aziz bin Abu Hazim told us, from Ala bin Abdul-Rahman, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, and he mentioned it. Its isnad is hasan because of Abu Marwan, Abdul-Aziz, and Ala, since all of them are hasan al-hadith. Busiri also graded it sahih in his Zawaid.
