I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "If the son of Adam had a valley full of wealth, he would wish to have another like it. Nothing fills the soul of the son of Adam except dust, and Allah accepts the repentance of whoever repents."
سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: لو أن لابن آدم واديا مالا لأحب أن له مثله، ولا يملأ نفس ابن آدم إلا التراب، ويتوب الله على من تاب.
Ahmad (14657) and Ibn Hibban (3234) both narrated it through various routes from Abu Zubayr, that he heard Jabir bin Abdullah say what has already been mentioned. Its chain of transmission is sahih.
