The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, "This wealth is green and sweet. Whoever takes it" — Yahya said, "He mentioned something here that I do not recall" — "it will be blessed for him. But many a one who indulges himself in the wealth of Allah and His Messenger, taking whatever his soul desires, will have the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."
قال رسول الله ﷺ: إن هذا المال خضرة حلوة، فمن أخذه- قال يحيى: ذكر شيئا لا أدري ما هو- بورك له فيه، ورب متخوض في مال الله ورسوله فيما اشتهت نفسه، له النار يوم القيامة.
Abu Yaala (6606) narrated it from Abdul-Ala, who said, Dawud Attar told us, from Ismail bin Umaya, from Saeed bin Abu Saeed, from his father, from Abu Hurairah, who said, and then he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih. As for the statement, "Yahya said," I have not been able to determine what is meant by it, and Haythami likewise mentioned it in Maqsad Ali (494).
