She heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "This world is sweet and green, and there are Some men who plunge themselves into the wealth of Allah without right. For them is the Fire on the Day of Resurrection."
أنها سمعت رسول الله ﷺ يقول: إن الدنيا حلوة خضرة، وإن رجالا يتخوضون في مال الله بغير حق لهم النار يوم القيامة.
Ahmad (27318) narrated it from Abdullah bin Yazid, who said, Saeed, meaning Ibn Abu Ayub, narrated to us, saying, Abu Aswad narrated to me, from Numan bin Abu Ayyash Zarqi, from Khawla bint Thamir Ansariyya, and he mentioned it. Bukhari narrated it in the Chapter on the Obligation of the Khums (3118) from Abdullah bin Yazid with this same chain, except that he did not mention, "Indeed this world is sweet and green." It appears, then, that the two of them heard this hadith from their teacher Abdullah bin Yazid on two separate occasions.Tirmidhi (2374) narrated it from Qutayba, who said, Layth narrated to us, from Saeed Maqburi, from Abu Walid, who said, I heard Khawla bint Qays, who was married to Hamza bin Abdul-Muttalib, say, I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say, "Indeed this wealth is green and sweet. Whoever takes it rightfully will be blessed in it, but many a person who indulges his own desires from the wealth of Allah and His Messenger will have nothing on the Day of Resurrection but the Fire." Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith, and Abu Walid's name is Ubayd Sanuta."I say, Ubayd Sanuta is Abu Walid Madani. Ajli deemed him reliable, and Ibn Hibban listed him among the trustworthy narrators in Al-Thiqat, but I did not find anyone else who vouched for his reliability besides these two. However, he has corroborating support, as mentioned earlier.
