The Prophet ﷺ stood up among his companions and said, "Is it poverty you fear, or want, or worldly anxieties that trouble you? Allah will open for you Persia and Rome, and the world will be poured upon you in abundance."
عن النبي ﷺ أنه قام في أصحابه، فقال: الفقر تخافون أو العوز، أو تهمكم الدنيا؟ إن الله فاتح لكم فارس والروم، وتصب عليكم الدنيا صبا.
Bazzar narrated it - Kashf Al-Astar (3611) - and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (18/52), both through the route of Baqiya bin Walid, from Buhayr bin Saad, from Khalid bin Madan, from Awf bin Malik, and he mentioned it. Its chain is hasan because of Baqiya bin Walid, who was a mudallis and narrated using an ambiguous form of transmission, but his ambiguous transmission is accepted when he narrates from Buhayr bin Saad, as Ibn Abdul-Hadi stated.Haythami said in Al-Majma (10/245), "Tabarani and Bazzar narrated it in similar wording, and its narrators were declared trustworthy, except that Baqiya was a mudallis, even though he was trustworthy."What is meant by "Rome" here is the land of Sham, which today is Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Israel.
