I heard the Prophet ﷺ say, "Every nation has its trial, and the trial of my nation is wealth."
سمعت النبي ﷺ يقول: إن لكل أمة فتنة، وفتنة أمتي المال.
It was narrated by Tirmidhi (2336), Ahmad (17471), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (3223), and Hakim (1/318), all of them through the route of Muawiya bin Salih, from Abdul-Rahman bin Jubayr bin Nufayr, from his father, from Kaab bin Iyad, who mentioned it.Its chain is hasan because of Muawiya bin Salih, that is, the son of Hudayr, for he is one whose hadith is hasan. Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih gharib hadith, we only know it through the hadith of Muawiya bin Salih."
