The largest sum of money I ever knew to have been brought to the Prophet of Allah was a pouch containing eight hundred dirhams.
أكثر ما علمت أتي به نبي الله من المال لخريطة، فيها ثمان مئة درهم.
Ahmad (26573) and Tabarani in Al-Kabir (23/299) both narrated it through Bakr bin Mudar, who said, "Musa bin Jubayr told us, from Abdullah bin Rafi, the freed slave of Umm Salama, from Umm Salama," and he related it. Its chain is hasan because of Musa bin Jubayr Ansari, from whom a group of narrators transmitted, and Ibn Hibban mentioned him among his reliable narrators, and Abu Saeed bin Yunus knew him.Tabarani also narrated it in Al-Kabir (23/414-415) through Amr bin Harith, from Musa bin Jubayr, with the same content, adding a story to it, though some of its wording contains oddities.
