I was with Amr bin As in Alexandria, and the people there were discussing the comfortable life they were enjoying. One of the Companions said, "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away while his family had not yet eaten their fill of coarse bread."Musa explained that this refers to barley and rye mixed together.
Ahmad (17772) reported it from Abdullah bin Yazid, who said, Musa, that is, the son of Ali bin Rabah, narrated to us, saying, I heard my father say, and then he related it. Its isnad is sahih.
