Ibn Abu Asim narrated it in al-Ahad wal-Mathani (970), and Ibn Hibban graded it sahih (731), as did Hakim (3/623), all of them through routes from Hatim bin Ismail, who said, Yaqub bin Amr bin Abdullah bin Umaya Damri narrated to us, from Jafar bin Umaya, from his father Amr bin Umaya Damri, who said what has been mentioned. Its chain is hasan because of Yaqub bin Amr bin Abdullah, whom Ibn Hibban mentioned in al-Thiqat, and two people narrated from him. Ibn Hibban said of him, "Well known and trustworthy." Dhahabi deemed its chain sound in Talkhis al-Mustadrak.On this subject there is also what has been narrated from Anas bin Malik, who said, a man said, "Messenger of Allah, should I hobble it and rely on Allah, or let it loose and rely on Allah?" He said, "Hobble it and rely on Allah." Tirmidhi narrated it (2517) from Amr bin Ali, who said, Yahya bin Saeed Qattan narrated to us, who said, Mughira bin Abu Qurra Sadusi narrated to us, who said, I heard Anas bin Malik say what has been mentioned. Amr bin Ali said, Yahya said, "In my view this is a munkar hadith." Tirmidhi said, "This is a gharib hadith from the hadith of Anas, we do not know it except from this route." It is as he said, for Mughira bin Abu Qurra Sadusi is mastur (of unknown reliability), as the Hafiz said. What Yahya Qattan meant by saying "a munkar hadith" is that this mastur narrator was the sole transmitter of it.
