There were two brothers in the time of the Prophet ﷺ. One of them used to attend upon the Prophet ﷺ, while the other worked for a living. The one who worked complained about his brother to the Prophet ﷺ, who replied, "Perhaps you are provided for because of him."
كان أخوان على عهد النبي ﷺ، فكان أحدهما يأتي النبي ﷺ، والآخر يحترف، فشكي المحترف أخاه إلى النبي ﷺ فقال: لعلك ترزق به.
Tirmidhi (2345) and Bazzar (6988) narrated it, and Hakim graded it sahih (1/93), all of them by way of Abu Dawud Sulayman bin Dawud Tayalisi, who said, Hammad bin Salama narrated to us, from Thabit, from Anas bin Malik, and he mentioned it. Its chain of transmission is sahih.Tirmidhi said, "This is a hasan sahih hadith."
