The Prophet ﷺ asked, "Which of you loves the wealth of his heir more than his own wealth?"They replied, "Messenger of Allah, there is none among us who does not love his own wealth more."He said, "His wealth is what he has sent ahead, and his heir's wealth is what he leaves behind."
قال النبي ﷺ: أيكم مال وارثه أحب إليه من ماله؟ قالوا: يا رسول الله، ما منا أحد إلا ماله أحب إليه، قال: فإن ماله ما قدم، ومال وارثه ما أخر.
Bukhari narrated it in Riqaq (6442) from Umar bin Hafs, who said, my father narrated to me, who said, Amash narrated to us, who said, Ibrahim Taymi narrated to me, from Harith bin Suwayd, who said, Abdullah said, and he mentioned it.
